Baviphat Applemint Pore Tightening Nose Patch

Nothing like a new pore strip to break me out of my blogging hiatus. If you know me at all, you can imagine my sheer terror when I ran out of pore strips awhile back. I had been using some charcoal strips by PureDerm for quite some time. They got the job done well enough, although I wasn’t too keen on the scent–they smelled like a smoker’s hotel room. Guh. Ross. Anyway, I hopped on eBay to find something new… something more olfactorily-pleasing. I eventually came across these Applemint babies by Korean brand Baviphat. I always like trying a new brand, and Applemint? Sounds WAY better than charcoal in my opinion. Plus, cute minty packaging. And CHEAP. Click click buy. Hello, Baviphat Applemint Pore Tightening Nose Patch x20.

The packaging, while cute, is almost entirely in Hangul so I can’t decipher it. Such is life.

I bought two boxes of tens strips each. I believe you can also find them on eBay for sets of 5, minus the box.

At least the active ingredients are in English: mentha rotundifolia leaf extract and allantoin. Whatever THAT crap is. But seriously, I’m sure it’s good.

The facts:

Besides the active ingredients, I really can’t find ANY English information on this product… not even a description. So you can use your imagination, I guess. Basically it’s a pore strip and helps clear out your blackheads and sebum and tightens your pores simultaneously. Like any other pore strip. But does it measure up?

This strip is a pleasant light mint color, which I find super cute. Yes, I judge my pore strips by their cuteness factor. As should you.

The fit is superb, unlike some badly-shaped mistakes I’ve used in the past. The only thing that would make it better is the little cuts that Biore uses to stretch it so it’s perfect. The scent… makes me cry with happiness, and doesn’t make me feel like I’m dying of secondhand smoke inhalation. It’s as you would imagine: apple-y and minty and wonderful. I love it.

As with other pore strips, you leave it on for 10-15 minutes, or until it feels hard and dry. Slowly peel off from the edges and goodbye blackheads! Seriously though… I have used a shit ton of pore strips in my old age, and this is by far the BEST I’ve ever used. I seriously cleared a TON of pores with this thing, more than ever before. It was impressive, and I’m super glad I bought two boxes of these. You probably shouldn’t look at the image below if you don’t want to be grossed out because it’s the aftermath. Fair warning.

Placed on toilet paper roll for extra grossness. Ew, right? But at the same time, SO SATISFYING. For something so affordable, I was amazed at how well it works.

Baviphat also sells Nose Patches in Charcoal. But don’t bother. Get these.

Pros: Super effective, great scent, cute.
Cons: Nothing.

Final Verdict: It’s pretty obvious I’m totally in love with these, so I have nothing more to say. If you’d like to try them out for yourself, you can find them on eBay from ~$4-15 USD depending on quantity.

Have you tried these, and did you love them as much as I did? Any other Baviphat product recommendations? Let me know!
